Instructions to Authors

Please follow the instructions below while preparing and submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Research in Engineering (JRE). Clear formatting and complete information help us complete review and publication faster.

🧭Before You Submit

Authors must ensure that their work is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

  • The manuscript has not been published or submitted to any other journal.
  • All authors have contributed significantly and agree to the submission.
  • All sources, data, figures and tables are properly cited and acknowledged.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest or funding sources are clearly disclosed.
  • Ethical approvals (if applicable) have been obtained and documented.

📄Manuscript Preparation

Recommended Structure
  • Title Page – article title, authors’ names, affiliations, and corresponding author details.
  • Abstract – 150–250 words summarizing objective, method, main results and conclusions.
  • Keywords – 4–6 keywords, separated by commas.
  • Introduction – background, problem statement and objectives.
  • Methodology / Materials & Methods – detailed explanation to allow replication.
  • Results and Discussion – key findings supported by figures, tables and discussion.
  • Conclusion – main contributions and possible future work.
  • Acknowledgements (optional).
  • References – arranged in a consistent citation style.
Formatting Guidelines
  • Language: Clear and grammatically correct English.
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or LaTeX PDF (with source files on request).
  • Font & size: Times New Roman, 11 or 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.
  • Page layout: A4 size, normal margins; pages should be numbered.
  • Figures & tables: Numbered consecutively with clear captions and high-quality images.
  • Units & symbols: Use SI units and standard engineering notations.
  • References: Use a consistent style (IEEE / APA / numbered) as specified in JRE guidelines.

Submission Checklist

Files
  • Main manuscript file is complete and readable.
  • All figures, tables and supplementary files are included.
  • Manuscript file does not contain track-changes or comments.
Authorship & Ethics
  • Author list, affiliations and order are final and agreed by all authors.
  • Plagiarism has been checked and is within acceptable limits.
  • Ethical approval statements are included where required.
Content Quality
  • Title and abstract accurately reflect the content of the paper.
  • Figures and tables are clearly labelled and referenced in the text.
  • Spelling and grammar have been carefully checked.
Journal Fit
  • Paper fits the aims and scope of JRE.
  • Formatting follows JRE template or sample paper (if provided).
  • All required declarations (conflict of interest, funding, data availability) are added.

🚀How to Submit Your Manuscript

JRE uses an online submission process. Please follow the steps below to send your manuscript for consideration.

Register / Login
Create an author account or log in to your existing account via the Register or Login pages.

Start New Submission
Choose “Submit Paper” in your account dashboard and provide article title, abstract, keywords and author details.

Upload Files
Upload the main manuscript and all supporting files (figures, tables, supplementary data) in the requested formats.

Confirm & Submit
Review all entered information, agree to the ethics & copyright declaration, and click “Final Submit”. You will receive an acknowledgement email.
